A magazine for waterpeople.
We are a bi-annual print publication that comes out every summer and winter. Our eternal theme is water. Each issue has its own idea behind it – our first issue focused on Seawitches. Within the water theme we’ve explored menstruation, mental health, white privilege, technology, environmental issues, and more.
In every issue we have an Artist In Residence (AIR) who illustrates the content and who we collaborate with to make handmade covers. We also pay homage to those who have come before us, dive deep into unconventional topics, share an op-ed from a revered writer, dip into fiction, review a film, book and record, and publish radical and intrepid work. In Issue 002 we have writing from Irish big-wave surfer and scholar Easkey Britton, Australian expat Serena Renner, skater and surfer Kehinde Apara, and Margaret Seelie.
Whether you love oceans with phosphorescence and wild waves, lakes that leave your skin smelling of fresh dirt, pools with sunlight slithering across blue paint, or a good soak in the tub – thanks for joining us.
